“Ave, oh beautiful Sirmio…” this way the ancient poet Catullo greeted Sirmione defined in his poems as the “Pearl of all the peninsula and Islands”. Historical and cultural heritage, the charming hamlet is dominated by the Castello Scaligero, unique example of XIII Century fortress touched on all its sides by the water. Walking through the narrow and charatteristic streets of the centre you will be embedded by an ancient and secret atmosphere.
